Showdown: Rossi versus Alonso, winner wears red
In what's sure to be a competitive affair, MotoGP star Valentino Rossi and Formula 1 ace Fernando Alonso are scheduled to go head-to-head in a race for ultimate Italian bragging rights. One thing's for certain: the winner will wear red.
On January 10th, when fellow Italian brands Ducati and Ferrari share the stage to show off their racing wares at the annual Vrooom event, the so-called Challenge Exhibition will pit Rossi and Alonso, along with the rest of the two teams' drivers and riders, in go karts specially prepared to drive on the ice and in 4X4 Fiat Pandas on an off-road course.
We wish there was a little two-wheeling on the schedule... we know Rossi is more than capable on four wheels, but we're kinda curious how Alonso might fare with only half his normal contact patches. In any case, feel free to place your bets in the Comments section.
